Targeted
Technology
The Ceramics Corridor Innovation
Centers (CCIC) program is especially
tailored for the unique needs
of hi-tech start-ups from the
facility infrastructure to expert
resources. Unlike many mixed-use
incubators in the U.S., CCIC
is industry specific - this
means your neighbor will not
be a bakery or beauty salon
- at CCIC the focus is on technology.
Resources
When you become a member of
the CCIC program, you're not
just getting rental space to
set up your business. You also
gain access to a full range
of business development and
R&D resources.
Support
Business support includes assistance
with business plans, marketing,
and technology transfer, as
well as technical expertise
and assistance with grant writing
from experienced Alfred University
and New York State College of
Ceramics scientists and professors.
Flexibility
At CCIC, we recognize that not
all business start-ups have
the same needs. Experienced
professionals who can provide
personalized assistance tailored
to your start-up needs is a
key advantage over starting
a business on your own.
Incubator-Based
Rates
Incubators are many times able
to provide amenities and services
at reduced rates. Incubator-based
utility rates, cost to lease
per square foot, shared amenities
and discounted services all
add up when comparing the cost
of doing business outside of
the incubator environment.
Networking
Entrepreneurs generate a lot
of positive energy. There is
nothing like being able to network
with other entrepreneurs and
established companies in the
industry regarding business
experiences and at times, finding
a solution to a problem by working
with each other.
Quality
of Life
The Southern Tier of New York
is not only ideally situated
for a business location, but
the region is also a wonderful
place to raise a family in a
beautiful environment where
air and water quality standards
are 40-50% higher than national
standards and the crime rate
is one of the lowest in the
state.
A
wide variety of cultural and
recreational activities are
found throughout the year in
the Finger
Lakes Region. The area is
known for wineries, oustanding
recreational opportunities and
a widely varied choice of cultural
activities including everything
from classical music, performing
arts and community theaters
to an annual hot air balloon
rally and New York State's longest
running county fair. Recreational
activities include boating,
camping, fishing, hunting and
hiking, as well as snow and
water sports.
